In addition with proper joint biomechanics, there is reduced load on the compromised joint and surrounding tissues, this leads to decreased wear and tear on joint surfaces, ligaments, and surrounding tissues and in addition, improved function, strength and performance and a reduction in pain and the likelihood of injury .

Dr. Stephen Wasteneys is a dedicated chiropractor known for his patient-centered approach to healthcare. With a strong belief in the power of individualized care, Dr. Wasteneys takes the time necessary to understand his patients’ unique needs, working closely with them to create personalized treatment plans that lead to lasting improvements in their health and well-being.

Utilizing chiropractic techniques in combination with Active Release Therapy (ART), Dr. Wasteneys treats a wide range of musculoskeletal issues including soft tissue injuries. His 25 years of experience has included working with Olympic and competitive athletes of all ages, as well as recreational enthusiasts, benefiting from his care. Many of his patients come through referrals from other trusted health professionals.

A former competitive athlete, Dr. Wasteneys represented Canada internationally as a member of the Canadian sprint canoe team. His athletic career includes being a medalist at the Pan-American Games and competing at World Championships. These experiences have given him a deep understanding of the demands placed on the body, as well as the importance of proper rehabilitation and injury prevention. Now, Dr. Wasteneys continues to lead an active lifestyle, pursuing his passions for Nordic skiing and paddling.
